00:16in Columbia, South Carolina.

00:19They're six and a half point home underdogs against LSU.

00:22Last week in the true opener for the Cox on the road in Lexington against Kentucky, South

00:27Carolina won outright in dominant fashion as a nine and a half point dog, three, one

00:33to six.

00:34Can Shane Beamer in South Carolina replicate the upset special today at home?

00:39It's possible.

00:40I think when you look at it, these teams haven't met in Columbia, South Carolina since 2008.

00:44Now from the series perspective, it's been dominated by LSU 19, two and one in regards

00:50to the series record and people I think are just sleeping on LSU or sort of just pushing

00:55them to the side because of the week one performance against USC and more importantly,

01:00the win and no cover against Nickel State, but they still have the better passing attack

01:04with Nussmeier heading into this matchup.

01:06You look at Norris Sellers and that offense for South Carolina have, they're only averaging

01:11165 passing yards per game.

01:13They're methodical, completing only 54% of their passes and again, in my opinion to cover

01:19this line, they're going to need to play a perfect game and that's where I give the edge

01:23to the speed of LSU.

01:24Look out for the rushing attack today.

01:26I think they dominate.

01:27So, so often we get these college games and we kind of do some side by side, some positional

01:32comparisons and different matchups.

01:34This is this one of the sneaky best matchups we will have all year.

01:37Dylan Stewart, the, you know, the six star freshman looks amazing.

01:43Will Campbell and Emory Jones could both start in the NFL today and they're back here at

01:48LSU.

01:49They're both likely going in the top 10.

01:51One of two things will happen.

01:53Either Dylan Stewart will be advised to sit out for the next two years and just enjoy

01:58going top three when the time comes or hey, you're a freshman and eventually you'll be

02:05ready and this will do great for you, Stewart, but you're about to learn a tough lesson because

02:09it's not like you can go to the other side and all right, you know, Aiden Hutchinson,

02:12I know we're doing a little NFL, but Aiden Hutchinson, there was a backup left tackle

02:15that got thrown in for the Rams.

02:16Like I'll just line up over there and dominate.

02:18There's no break here for Dylan Stewart.

02:19They're not going to wind the kid up on the interior, but that is why to me, it's a bit

02:23of a bully game for LSU.

02:25I think they need to come out here and not just look to win a tough sec game.

02:29I think they need to make a statement.

02:31It is very clear to me that this team's expectations have been shifted far too much off of a loss

02:35to what I think is a good USC team.

02:37Again, that was super competitive and in some aspects I feel like they should have win and

02:40they let get away from them.

02:41Okay.

02:42So there was a close game against Nichols for a little bit.

02:46I don't think it was that close.

02:47South Carolina should have lost to Old Dominion in week one.

02:50So they beat Kentucky.

02:51Kentucky might be terrible.

02:53Brock Vandegrift might be terrible.

02:54It's very on the board.

02:56I agree with you, Joe.

02:57I think LSU's the side here all the way under a touchdown.

03:00Only 44 passing yards for Kentucky as a team last week.

03:04Brock Vandegrift, the Georgia transfer, he'll play his former team today for UK.

03:11They had nothing going and even on the ground, 46 carries as a team for the Cats for just

03:17That's three yards per pop.

03:18South Carolina won by 25 as nearly a double-digit dog with only putting up 252 yards of total

03:25offense themselves.

03:26The bespectacled quarterback behind you, Joe, that's the freshman, Lenora Sellers, 166 yards

03:32or less in each of the first two this year for the Gamecocks.

03:35Garrett Nussmeyer, at least 302 passing yards in the first two games for LSU.

03:40Six, six touchdown tosses last week against Nichols.

03:45However, they did not cover as a 44-and-a-half point favorite, but I do want to go right

03:49back to you, Joe, and it's to your point as well, Kev.

03:51On the outside, you've got Will Campbell, best left tackle in football, maybe the best

03:55right tackle opposite him in Emory Jones, Jr.

03:58Dylan Stewart has been incredible, two-and-a-half sacks, two-and-a-half tackles for loss.

04:03Last week, South Carolina, five sacks and 11 tackles for loss against Kentucky.

04:08But Lee Seaguy, are you concerned about LSU establishing the run, just 68 yards last week

04:13against Nichols?

04:15No, I'm not.

04:16I actually think they get it going today.

04:17Everybody's looking Nussmeyer through the air.

04:19I think they run it with Josh Williams and Caleb Jackson, especially now with the injury

04:23to John Emory.

04:24They have the more physical offensive line.

04:26And Brian Kelly, dating back seven years to 2017, a 670 winning percentage on the road

04:33or on a neutral field.

04:35You need to win the turnover battle and you need to run the football.
