00:00
Good afternoon to all of us. This is an update on the two low-pressure areas that we are monitoring.
00:07
One of them is inside our area of responsibility.
00:11
The last one that we saw was 460 kilometers away from Siguran Aurora.
00:16
The LPA said that we are not ruling out the possibility of a typhoon in the next few days.
00:24
If this is a typhoon, we are not ruling out the possibility of a tropical cyclone wind signal
00:32
in the eastern section of Northern Luzon.
00:38
But even if this is not a typhoon, we will still monitor it.
00:43
We should be prepared because in the next few days,
00:46
it is also possible for moderate to heavy rains to fall,
00:49
especially in the areas of Cagayan and Isabela
00:52
where this afternoon, we are hoping that the LPA's forecast will extend
00:59
to the areas of Cagayan and Isabela Aurora
01:03
where we are expecting light to moderate with the times heavy rains.
01:07
Meanwhile, the second LPA that we are monitoring is still 2,160 kilometers away from Eastern Visayas.
01:17
It is still far from our Philippine landmass and there is no direct effect in any part of our country.
01:23
It is a medium chance that it will be a typhoon in the next few days.
01:29
That is why we will also monitor it because it is also possible for it to enhance in the coming days
01:35
where it will fall during the rainy season in a large part of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
01:41
Today, we are hoping that heavy rains will continue to fall,
01:49
especially in the northern portion of Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Aklan, Antique and Negros Occidental.
01:56
That is why we should be careful because there are some areas that are already flooded
02:02
and we are also expecting heavy rains
02:06
where it is possible for it to increase in floods and landslides.
02:11
That is why we should be careful and we will prepare twice as much for our countrymen.
02:16
Meanwhile, here in Metro Manila and Central Luzon, Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region,
02:25
we are hoping that it will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies
02:29
except for the occasional rains and landslides caused by localized thunderstorms.
02:38
Meanwhile, here in the southern part of Southern Luzon, Bicol Region, the rest of Mimaropa, Calabarzon Area,
02:45
especially in Batangas, the skies will be cloudy and there will be occasional rains.
02:50
That is also the case in Central and Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Bangsamoro and Suxargen.
02:59
That is why our countrymen should be careful because it is still possible that there will be heavy rains
03:05
or if there are occasional heavy rains, it is also possible for it to increase in floods and landslides.
03:12
In Davao Region, if there are occasional rains, it is only occasional rains caused by localized thunderstorms.
03:21
And regarding the low pressure areas that we mentioned, we are giving 6 hourly updates that we are posting on our social media accounts.
03:31
That is why we are continuously updating the updates that we are releasing.
03:37
As for the weather forecast for tomorrow, because of the Southwest Monsoon,
03:42
there will be continuous rains and there will be heavy rains in the parts of Occidental Mindoro, Northern Palawan,
03:51
and we are expecting occasional rains in the parts of Masbate and in the vast parts of Mimaropa.
03:59
In other parts of Bicol Region, the weather will still be gloomy and there will be light to moderate rains,
04:06
which is also an effect of the Southwest Monsoon.
04:08
Meanwhile, if we see here in the northern part, particularly in Cagayan and Isabela,
04:13
we are still expecting cloudy skies tomorrow and there will be scattered rains
04:19
because of the trough or the extension of the clouds of the low pressure area that we mentioned.
04:25
But here in Metro Manila, as well as in other parts of Luzon,
04:28
the weather will be clear tomorrow, but there will be times when the sky will be cloudy
04:35
and it is still possible for us to experience light to moderate rains,
04:39
especially in the early morning, as well as in the afternoon and at night.
04:45
Here in Camanilaan, our temperature tomorrow is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius,
04:49
Baguio City, 17 to 24, Lawag, 25 to 32, 25 to 31 degrees in Taguigaraw,
04:56
in Tagaytay, 23 to 29, and in Meligaspi City, 25 to 29 degrees Celsius.
05:04
Let's go to Puerto Princesa and Calayaan Islands,
05:07
where the minimum temperature and maximum temperature will reach 24 degrees Celsius,
05:12
and it is only 28 to 29 degrees Celsius.
05:16
For our fellow countrymen in Cabizayaan,
05:19
particularly here in the western Visayas and in the Negros Island region,
05:24
there will be strong storms and it is expected that there will be heavy rains tomorrow
05:28
because of the trough.
05:30
So be extra careful and be prepared, fellow countrymen, for these rains
05:35
because it is still possible for them to experience floods.
05:42
So be careful, fellow countrymen.
05:45
In the central and eastern Visayas, the weather is still gloomy tomorrow,
05:49
as well as in the Zamboanga Peninsula,
05:51
Mordern Mindanao, Carraga, Bangsamoro, and also in Soxergen.
05:57
There are light to moderate to the times heavy that we are expecting
06:00
in the mentioned places, including Habagat.
06:03
And we can visit the social media accounts of our regional services divisions,
06:10
particularly the Visayas PRSD and Mindanao PRSD,
06:15
so that we can see the updates that our fellow countrymen are releasing in the mentioned places.
06:22
In the Davao region, if we experience floods tomorrow,
06:25
it will only be light rains in the afternoon and in the evening.
06:30
Our temperature tomorrow in Iloilo is around 25 to 29 degrees Celsius.
06:35
In Tacloban, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro, the temperature is 26 to 31 degrees.
06:40
In Zamboanga, it is 26 to 30 degrees Celsius.
06:43
And in Metro Davao, it is 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.
06:49
And here are the areas where we have high gale warnings at the moment,
06:54
particularly in Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Romblon, Western Visayas,
07:00
Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, Southern Leyte,
07:04
Ilambaybayin of Leyte, Zamboanga del Norte, Camiguin, Dinagat Islands,
07:11
and in Ilambaybayin of Surigao del Norte, we have high gale warnings.
07:16
If we have gale warnings, we do not allow our fellow countrymen,
07:21
fishermen, and also those who have small fishing boats,
07:25
because we expect high waves, the wave height can reach up to 4.5 meters.
07:33
In other cities, the sea condition will still be moderate to rough.
07:38
That is why we are cautioning our fellow countrymen,
07:41
but those who ride small sea crafts, we do not advise them to sail
07:48
because the waves of the sea are still possible.
07:50
But be careful with those who ride big sea crafts,
07:53
because we expect moderate to rough sea conditions in other cities of our ocean.
08:01
And this is what we expect, that there will be heavy rains in the next few days,
08:06
where until tomorrow afternoon, we still expect heavy to intense rains
08:13
in the northern portion of Palawan, Occidental Mindoro,
08:17
Aklan, Antique, and Negros Occidental.
08:20
Meanwhile, we still expect moderate to heavy rains in Albay, Sursugon,
08:25
Masbate, the rest of Mimaropa, Western Visayas, and Negros Island Region.
08:31
And because of the trough or extension of the LPA,
08:36
it is also possible for Isabela to experience moderate to heavy rains tomorrow.
08:43
Meanwhile, tomorrow afternoon, Monday afternoon until Tuesday afternoon,
08:49
we still expect heavy to intense rains in the northern portion of Palawan,
08:54
Aklan, Antique, and Negros Occidental.
08:58
We expect moderate to heavy rains in Mimasbate, the rest of Mimaropa,
09:02
Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, and also in Cagayan,
09:07
along with Bobuyan Islands and Isabela, Monday afternoon until Tuesday afternoon.
09:14
Meanwhile, when it comes to Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday afternoon,
09:19
it is also possible for heavy to intense rains in the northern portion of Palawan,
09:26
Aklan, and Antique.
09:28
We still expect moderate to heavy rains in the rest of Mimaropa,
09:33
Western Visayas, Negros Island Region,
09:36
and because of the trough or the effect of the LPA,
09:41
we expect moderate to heavy rains in Cagayan, along with Bobuyan Islands,
09:46
and also in the northern portion of Apayao.
09:49
In the mentioned areas, we are preparing our countrymen for the possibility of floods and landslides,
09:57
and we hope that they will consult their local government
10:00
so that we can prepare for the heavy rains that we expect for the next few days.
10:07
Our day here in Caminila will end at 5.57pm,
10:12
and it will rise again tomorrow at 5.45am.
