00:00Meralko has an additional charge this month.
00:04The total rate is around Php 11 per kWh for a typical residential customer.
00:11This is equivalent to an additional Php 31 for the entire family that consumes 200 kWh.
00:20Meralko explained that the increase in the transmission charge is the main reason for the additional charge.
00:26It is also equivalent to a higher ancillary rate charges for the reserve
00:31with the return of the reserve market operation last August.
