00:00Good news, because this October, 36 centavos per kilowatt-hour will be reduced in Meralco's electricity.

00:07This means that 72 pesos will be reduced for those who consume 200 kilowatt-per-hour,

00:13108 pesos for those who consume 300 kilowatt-per-hour,

00:17143 pesos will be reduced for those who consume 400 kilowatt-per-hour,

00:23while 179 pesos for those who consume 500 kilowatt-per-hour.

00:28This is a reduction in the generation charge

00:31because of the lower cost from the wholesale electricity spot market.

00:37If now, we have a reduction of 35 centavos per kilowatt-hour in overall rates,

00:43the overall reduction would be around 68 centavos

00:46if the Malang Fire Consortium did not allow the reduction of the additional cost.
