00:00With Sara Duterte absent from the House deliberations for her office's 2025 budget,

00:04SAGIP Rep. Rodante Marcoleta takes the lead in defending the vice president.

00:09He immediately moves to terminate the budget briefing Tuesday,

00:12but House Appropriations Senior Vice Chairperson Stella Quimbo calls for a suspension.

00:16We cannot do anything.

00:17We are already in the process of reviewing the budget.

00:24Kabataan Rep. Raul Manuel objects to Marcoleta's motion,

00:27prompting a vote among lawmakers.

00:29Forty-five go against terminating the budget briefing, with three others in favor.

00:33Marcoleta, Davao City Rep. Isidro Ungab, and Davao Occidental Rep. Claude Bautista.

00:39And because she is not president, she is actually insulting the

00:44second institution that should scrutinize the budget of the vice president.

00:48If we will be always submitting to this tradition,
