00:54The National Bureau of Investigation serves a subpoena to Vice President Sara Duterte Tuesday,

01:01November 26, after her threats against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,

01:06First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and Speaker Martin Romualdez.

01:09Duterte is directed to appear before NBI Director Jaime Santiago at his office at 9 a.m. on Friday,

01:15November 29 to explain her side and to discuss her own security concerns.

01:20The NBI chief says among their evidence against Duterte is the video clip of the

01:24vice president's press conference on Saturday, November 23.

01:37She backtracked on her statement days later, claiming what she said had been

01:41maliciously taken out of logical context.

01:46Former President Rodrigo Duterte called for military and police intervention

01:50to protect the Constitution amid what he described as a fractured government.

01:54But he stopped short of calling for a coup d'etat.

02:12In a press conference Monday evening, November 25,

02:15Duterte once again called President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. a drug addict.

02:20This time, he included Marcos' special assistant, Antonio Lagdameo Jr.,

02:24in the allegations of illegal substance use.

02:26Duterte presented no proof to back his claims.

02:29Duterte said he plans to meet with military officers from Camp Aguinaldo about it,

02:33but he was careful not to explicitly call for a coup.

02:36Duterte's latest attacks on the Marcos Jr. administration came in the wake of a congressional

02:41investigation into corruption allegations against his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte.

02:50Duterte for urging the military to step in and fix the fractured government,

02:54a move the palace saw as seeking the ouster of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

02:58Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin says in a statement,

03:02no motive is more selfish than calling for a sitting president

03:05to be overthrown so that your daughter can take over.

03:08Bersamin adds the explicit call of former President Duterte for our

03:11armed forces to stage a coup d'etat against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is shocking.

03:16He notes Duterte will go to great and evil lengths,

03:18such as insulting our professional armed forces by asking them to betray their oath

03:23for his plan to succeed.

03:24In another of his late-night press conferences, Rodrigo Duterte said there is a fracture in

03:29government and only the military can see the solution, but stopped short of calling for a coup.

03:34Bersamin goes on to say the state will act resolutely to go against all unlawful

03:38attempts and challenges. It is not clear what he means by act resolutely.

03:42A former Special Dispersing Officer of the Department of Education admitted on Monday,

03:48November 25 that DepEd chief Sara Duterte ordered him to give cash to school superintendents

03:54through their bank accounts.

03:55Tinggog Rep. Jude Asidre asked former DepEd SDO Edward Fajarda,

04:12Asidre also showed a screenshot of a supposed conversation among school division superintendents

04:29from Central Visayas. Duterte herself had a no-gift policy in the DepEd.

04:33Manila 6 District Rep. Benny Abante noted Duterte must have known that any gifts given

04:39could be considered bribery.

04:42China's military says it deployed naval and air forces to monitor and warn a United States Navy

04:47patrol aircraft that flew through the Taiwan Strait Tuesday, November 26. It denounces the

04:52U.S. for trying to quote-unquote, mislead the international community. The U.S. Navy's 7th

04:57fleet says a maritime patrol aircraft flew through the strait in international airspace.

05:02It adds the flight demonstrates the U.S.'s commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.

05:07Around once a month, U.S. military ships or aircraft pass through or above the waterway

05:11that separates democratically governed Taiwan from China. These missions always anger Beijing.

05:17China claims sovereignty over the island of Taiwan and says it has jurisdiction over the

05:21strait. Taiwan and the United States dispute that, saying the strait is an international waterway.
