Cabinet to discuss compensation proposal for sinkhole victim's family, says Dr Zaliha

After officiating the closing ceremony of the Royal Floria Putrajaya event on Sunday, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa told reporters that a proposal to compensate the family of an Indian woman missing in the sinkhole incident on Jalan Masjid India, Kuala Lumpur, will be discussed at the Cabinet meeting on Sept 4. 00:42Inshallah, as I said yesterday, and as I mentioned earlier, there are many things that we take action on,

00:50based on the views and input of the experts.

00:55So, I think we have to be confident that we have excellent experts.

00:59So, we have to be confident, and I think the media also have to play a role to ensure and provide good news

01:10and inform not only our people, but also tourists, that our country is safe, that Kuala Lumpur is safe.

01:17Mdm Mdm, have you met with the geologists?

01:19Yes, we have, but we will continue to contact them.

01:23And as I mentioned, in BKL, there will be a task force to call all experts related to the development in Kuala Lumpur.

01:32For the upcoming projects, we have mentioned many times that geotechnical study will be included in the conditions.

01:42But in detail, inshallah, Dato' Bandar will provide all the SOPs.

01:48Mdm Mdm, how much will it cost?

01:52We have already started. We will hold the area.

01:56And for example, the IWK has also conducted an integrity audit.
