00:08a compelling game that will come with swift reactions and many narrative takeaways.

00:14Miami, a top 20 team, 19th in the country entering 2024 with high expectations in South

00:21Florida.

00:22It's year three under Mario Cristobal.

00:24The Canes just 12 and 13 in his first two years, but he played at Miami.

00:29He knows what it means to bring Miami to the national pantheon.

00:33Will it get done this year?

00:35The Hurricanes, a two and a half point road favorite in Gainesville.

00:40The fearsome swamp, maybe not so much anymore against UF, the over under 54 and a half DRS.

00:49Can Miami cover as less than a field goal favorite against Florida?

00:53I think they can, and this is big because we've seen in the past where Florida and Miami

00:57had some unbelievable matchups.

00:58I still remember the game.

00:59I want to say it was 2003 at this point where Devin has to return the opening kickoff.

01:04They were down with Brock Berlin, three touchdowns in the second half, came all the way back

01:08to win that.

01:09We've had some memorable games, including the Florida flop back in the day where Miami's

01:13last play of the game.

01:14They all laid down on defense to let Florida score another touchdown.

01:17So they got a long history that goes back.

01:19I love to see this rivalry continue, but also Miami is not on a neutral site.

01:23They're not playing in the citrus bowl.

01:25They're not playing in the, you know, the old orange bowl, but frankly down at hard

01:28rock.

01:30Miami is on the road and they're laying points to the Florida Gators, which tells you something

01:34right off the bat.

01:35And this line has been out for quite some time and not really moving all that much.

01:38And also it might be astounding to people watching the show today.

01:41The Florida Gators team total at four and a half.

01:43This buys into it.

01:44This is one of those games where you might be looking at Florida schedule as they need

01:48absolutely to win this game if they want to win five games on the season.

01:53So I'm buying into the line itself and the hype for Miami.

01:56Now get this though, Miami is really hype coming into the season.

02:00We've seen it maybe sometimes over the past Malik Rozier is in there and maybe they're

02:05winning games.

02:06We know they're ultimately all not that good.

02:08This could be a referendum game right off the bat.

02:10Mario Cristobal walks into Florida, picks up a victory.

02:13Doesn't even matter if it's ugly, those vibes are going to continue the rest of the way,

02:17but it's not as if saying like, well, Donnie, if they lose the Florida, they can still make

02:20the college football play.

02:21If I get that.

02:22This feels like a game that Miami absolutely must have here and is expected to win that

02:27they need to win that.

02:28I'm expecting Miami to come out big.

02:30Your quarterback, maybe the best quarterback they've had over the past couple of years

02:33by far solid running back position here.

02:35The talent, the wide receiver position, one of the best young defensive ends in college

02:39football, rushing the passer, get the job done, Miami.

02:42This would mean that maybe you are starting to come back here into that national picture.
