WHO: Israel agrees to allow polio vaccinations in Gaza
Israel has agreed to a series of three-day 'humanitarian pauses' in Gaza to allow UN health officials to administer polio vaccinations in the territory, Rik Peeperkorn, the World Health Organization's representative for Palestinian territories, says during a briefing to the UN. "We need these humanitarian pauses," he urges, adding, 'otherwise it is impossible to do a proper [vaccination] campaign.'
