Palestinian representative at UN accuses Israel of 'ethnic cleansing'  The Palestinian representative to the UN, Riyad Mansour, on Dec. 4, 2024 accuses Israel of 'ethnic cleansing' in Gaza, with Israel in turn accusing the Palestinian Authority of the 'indoctrination of hatred.' Egypt and Qatar talked of their ongoing mediation efforts to restore peace, while other representatives condemning the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Israel launched its offensive in the densely populated enclave after Hamas-led fighters attacked Israeli communities across the border on Oct. 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people and taking over 250 hostages, according to Israeli tallies. 00:00Ethnic cleansing is being carried out in broad daylight in Beit Lahya and all of northern Gaza.

00:09As I stand here, displaced families were bombed yet again in tents in al-Mawasi,

00:19burned alive while the whole world is watching.

00:24The arrest warrants issued by the ICC must be a turning point,

00:30the beginning of the end of this impunity,

00:33of finally holding criminal perpetrators accountable and upholding the rule of law,

00:40of protecting civilians and achieving justice for victims,

00:44of stopping ongoing crimes and deterring future crimes.

00:49There is only one way to stop this genocide and to save lives,

00:56and to free prisoners and hostages and to preserve the hope of a different future.

01:04We all know this.

01:07It is an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire.

01:12It is what we have been calling for every day for 14 months.

01:19If there is any doubt about the systematic indoctrination of hatred,

01:23allow me to share an example of a Palestinian fifth-grade textbook.

01:30This textbook was published by the Palestinian Authority.

01:34This textbook was distributed to schools, funded and supported by the UN and its member states.

01:42You, the members of the UN, the righteous nations pointing critical fingers at Israel,

01:50paid for this propaganda.

01:55This is what the Palestinians are teaching 10-year-olds.

01:5910-year-old Palestinian children are being told that the path to greatness lies in murder,

02:05that death is preferable to life,

02:09and that slaughtering innocent civilians is a source of national pride.

02:14That's the Palestinian Authority. It's not Hamas. Don't be mistaken.

02:18As of today, the total number of deaths in Gaza

02:22has surpassed the population of at least seven UN member states,

02:29while the total number of injured has surpassed the population of at least 17 UN member states.

02:40If actions equivalent to wiping out the whole population of a country is not genocide,

02:47please tell me what is.

02:51Mr. President, killing innocent civilians can never be justified.

02:59If a group designated as a terrorist organization for killing around 1,200 people in one day,

03:08what do we designate a country that has killed 44,532 people

03:16and counting?
