Today, I woke up to the sound of rain hitting the tin roof of our cottage. I love rainy days. I took care of my chickens and chicks for a bit, fed them, and then started preparing my own breakfast. I thought to myself, in this cold and rainy weather, nothing can be better and more invigorating than kachi (a type of porridge), so I got to work without hesitation. The combination of kachi spice with saffron, and cardamom creates a delightful experience when eaten. In the past, this nutritious breakfast was often prepared for those who were ill or had a weak constitution.
