00:06from the opposite direction in an accident along Jalan Cheras on Saturday morning.

00:12Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Chief ACP Mohamed Zamzuri.

00:18Mohamed Issa said the Mercedes, driven by a 23-year-old man, is believed to have skidded

00:24before crashing into the student's vehicle and five other vehicles from the opposite

00:28direction.

00:29He confirmed that two passengers in the Ford Ranger, both aged 22, died from severe injuries.

00:36The driver of the Ford, a friend of the victims, sustained only minor injuries.

00:41The Mercedes driver was detained for investigation under Section 44.1 of the Road Transport Act

00:471987 after it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol.

00:53The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Hospital Chancellor Twanku Mauriz for post-mortem

00:57examination.

00:59ACP Mohamed Zamzuri has urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward

01:05and assist with the investigation by contacting the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Police Station.
