Two people were killed while two others were seriously injured in an accident involving two cars near the U-turn on Jalan Lencongan Barat in Alor Setar Tuesday (Dec 17) night.

The deceased, one male and one female, were aged 18.

00:07two cars at the Jalan Lenconggan Barat U-turn in Alor Star Tuesday night.
00:12The incident, which occurred around 8.50pm, resulted in one man being thrown onto a car
00:18roof and a woman being ejected onto the road.
00:22Both victims, aged 18, died at the scene.
00:25The crash also left two other men seriously injured, while one of the drivers sustained
00:30minor injuries.
00:32An eyewitness said she heard a loud crash and saw one of the cars spin six times before
00:37landing on the road divider.
00:39Jalan Raja Fire and Rescue Station Operations Commander, Senior Fire Officer Tu Salim Abdul
00:45Razak, said they received a call about the incident at 8.53pm.
00:50Upon arrival, responders confirmed two deaths at the scene, while the seriously injured
00:55were transported to Sultana Bahia Hospital for treatment.
00:59Kota Star District Police Chief ACP Siti Noor Salawati Saad urged those who witnessed the
01:05accident to contact the Kota Star Traffic Police to assist with the investigation.
01:11The case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act,
01:171987.
