Temperatures could reach 34°C in UK in coming days

Brits are expected to be treated to some hot weather this weekend and into the start of next week with high temperatures forecast.

00:00We start Sunday off on yes a dry clear picture for many places but it is also going to be quite warm

00:07and humid not as bad when it comes to an uncomfortable night compared to what it was a

00:12week or so ago just yet but nonetheless could be quite uncomfortable for some of us especially

00:17towards the southeast. And then because of the high pressure through Sunday a fine picture really

00:24generally light winds and lots of sunshine and that combination means we're going to see our

00:28temperatures rising. Towards the north there will be a few dotted showers around across parts of

00:34far north of Scotland maybe a bit more cloud here but on the whole lots of sunny skies and with that

00:39then temperatures rising even higher than on Saturday could get into the high 20s or low 30s

00:45somewhere towards the south and even quite widely across the southern parts it's going to be high

00:5020s mid 20s really so feeling pretty warm or hot indeed and even further north temperatures

00:56high teens low 20s with a bit more sunshine around it is going to feel fairly warm.

01:01Lots of fine weather to come as we go through the end of the day on Sunday and overnight into

01:05Monday. Though do watch out there is some wet weather out towards the far northwest and some

01:09of this could spill into western parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland as we go through the latter

01:14part of Sunday and then we may start to see that pushing into parts of the northwest as we go

01:20through overnight into Monday as well. Greater chance then through Monday itself we're going to

01:24see some heavy perhaps even thundery showery rain spilling across parts of Northern Ireland

01:29and Scotland meanwhile towards the southeast is likely to stay mostly dry and with that even

01:35hotter air pushing its way in so temperatures on Monday likely to be even higher could get

01:40to highs around 32 33 possibly even a little bit hotter than this.
