00:00I just start seeing her every day around practice time.

00:04You're so cute.

00:06When I'm training, she would typically be there.

00:09You came out of nowhere.

00:12Every time she saw me, she would start running up to me.

00:22To see how much she trusted me, I just started to fall in love with her.

00:25I moved to Hangzhou, China to prepare for the Asian Games that was taking place in September and October.

00:34As I was living in the base, going to practice every day, I found the spot that she hung out.

00:45Where were you this morning?

00:48There was one day where a security guard came over and Nibs ran up.

00:52The security guard was telling me that it's dangerous to have a stray dog around.

00:56And they were maybe going to take more extreme measures.

00:59I ended up kidnapping her.

01:01You are so good.

01:04Okay, another one.

01:06Yeah, good girl.

01:09I didn't realize she was pregnant.

01:13It was really good to know that she was with us instead of being a stray dog.

01:17Technically, I was not allowed to take her into my living quarters.

01:20So we were sneaking her in and out so that she could go outside for a walk.

01:27Having her in the dorm was really chaotic.

01:30But I was really grateful because I was definitely quite nervous leading into the competition.

01:35Right before my competition, I had to move into the Asian Games village, which only athletes can get into.

01:42There was no way I could sneak Nibs into there.

01:44Luckily, we found a pet store nearby.

01:49The staff there were so happy to help us with the situation.

01:53They managed to take her to a vet to get an ultrasound for her baby.

01:57To see the actual ultrasound of the little puppies inside.

02:00It was just surreal.

02:02When I was competing, I got a text from my mom.

02:05Nibs started giving birth.

02:07And I was like, what?

02:14I was absolutely shocked, but also excited.

02:19In a weird way, it kind of motivated me.

02:23Like, okay, Nibs is giving birth right now.

02:25If she can get through that, I can get through the rest of my competition.

02:29I did end up winning.

02:34I was really happy to get the win.

02:35But it definitely gave me peace of mind knowing that the puppies came out very healthy.

02:43Nibs was just always such a good mom.

02:45Once the puppies' eyes opened up, that's when it got really chaotic.

02:50They were growing so fast.

02:56It was really interesting to see the puppies teach the mom how to be a puppy herself.

03:00I think the most special thing is that we ended up getting to save seven lives,

03:04and we managed to find them all forever homes.

03:07Nibs has already found her forever home, and that's going to be with us.

03:10She's getting pampered at home with our family dog.

03:14I just want to give her a good life, and I hope I can do that.
