It Took Two Months To Earn This Stray Dog's Trust

00:00it took months trying to rescue this mom dog i immediately noticed that she was clearly nursing

00:08i knew her puppies must be somewhere close i was going to rescue her puppies that same day

00:17but i quickly realized it was going to take a lot of time trying to gain her trust

00:22she had never been pet before and was so shy she was trying to protect her puppies

00:30and wouldn't come close to me even with food that i had

00:40after searching the whole property i finally found her puppies i decided the best thing for them

00:46was to take them that day to keep them safe i slowly began working on gaining mama's trust

00:55i went there every single day for months

01:00we were making more and more progress and she would even take food out of my hand

01:06but she still wouldn't let me touch her so it was time to try something else

01:11i set up a live trap but she quickly outsmarted that thing

01:18i tried again with an even bigger setup and again she outsmarted that we're two months in at this point

01:27and i wasn't going to give up on her with the help of the owner we finally caught her

01:32good girl it was such a relief it's okay it was so overwhelming to be able to pet her after all of

01:43these months all of the hard work paid off

01:54it was a huge adjustment for clay when she went to go live with her foster

01:58she had never been inside before huh baby never had her own bed or toys but with enough time care

02:08and love she quickly learned what it's like living a happy dog life

02:13it's amazing to see how far she's come

02:22what are you doing you silly girl what are you doing she's been in our care for over 160 days all of her

02:37puppies found new homes but not clay i cannot wait to see her finally get her forever happy ending too
