00:00There's a puppy. Oh my God, there's a puppy. What do we do? What do we do?

00:13One of our neighbors, she called us over and she was like,

00:16do you guys know anything about this dog? I've never seen it before.

00:19The hair is covering its eyes. It can't even see.

00:23It just looks so neglected.

00:25I know we're really scared, but we're here in a safe place.

00:30She just didn't move from that corner at all.

00:34Are we going to go to the vet to see if you have a microchip?

00:38They just scanned for a microchip and no microchip.

00:41So I was like, all right, well, back home, I had a new employee starting with my company.

00:46She happens to have dog experience.

00:49She was like, do you want me to help you groom her?

00:51Devin looks over and she is like, this dog is pregnant.

00:56It's okay, it's okay, sweetheart, it's okay.

00:59Okay, I need towels, I need towels.

01:05I had no idea what to do. I was just feverishly Googling things.

01:10I kind of gaslit my husband a little bit because I was like,

01:16well, let's just keep them for two days.

01:19She became Mama Swifty.

01:26It was seven puppies.

01:29I think he's going to be one of those puppies that wants to be carried around everywhere.

01:35I had basically nine dogs, a cat and a baby all in the house,

01:40and only two of them were potty trained.

01:43I realized early on that she was going to need a much calmer environment.

01:48It was hard to say goodbye. She was still so scared of everyone else.

01:52I'm excited to get so much love and pets soon.

01:57Home started lining up for all of the puppies.

02:00An incredible woman named Carrie reached out.

02:04She said, I've been waiting for a dog to find me.

02:09I just feel like this is my dog.

02:13Thank you so much. This is our new girl.

02:16We're really excited.

02:18I was nervous. What am I getting myself into?

02:22In the hotel room, our conversation was, wow, we have a challenge here ahead of us.

02:28It's night one in the hotel room and Swifty is calm, not shaking.

02:37She did great. We were checking on her all the time. It was like having a newborn.

02:42Next stop is Nashville.

02:44Good morning, Swifty.

02:46She was leaving somebody that had loved her and cared for her for two months.

02:50Good girl.

02:52But I was going to work with it no matter what.

02:54She's not 100% trusting of me.

02:57She kind of backs away. Let's see if I can get her to come to me.

03:01You see how she's a little reluctant?

03:08She still has some challenges.

03:10Swifty, what is this?

03:14She's just a great, regular dog now, living life.

03:21We're parents of six adult children. They left for college.

03:26This is Swifty's house now.

03:29I look at her every day and think, I cannot believe this was a dog that was roaming the streets.
