00:03 I was pretty convinced it was a coyote.

00:07 One evening, I got an alert on my camera.

00:09 When I went outside, I realized it was a very malnourished

00:16 little puppy.

00:17 We just moved into this home.

00:26 Oh, baby.

00:27 She was so scared.

00:29 Hi, baby.

00:30 Do you want some food?

00:31 Do you want to come say hi?

00:33 Where do you want to go?

00:35 It was 7 o'clock hit, and then I didn't see her again

00:38 for the rest of the night.

00:39 And I was so sad.

00:41 The next morning, she shows up on our back camera again.

00:46 I basically stayed outside all day,

00:50 and I knew I had to gain her trust.

00:54 I had a crate at one point trying

00:55 to capture her into the crate.

00:57 I was very persistent.

00:59 Every 20 minutes, she would circle our house.

01:01 So I knew she was getting a little bit more comfortable.

01:05 The next morning, she shows up again.

01:09 We ended up very strategically getting her,

01:13 and then she spent the night with us.

01:16 It was such a good feeling.

01:17 Hi, sweet pea.

01:18 Hi, honey.

01:20 You're good, good girl.

01:21 Yes, you're good.

01:23 Oh, my goodness.

01:24 Yeah, very sweet and gentle.

01:26 That's so nice.

01:27 Once we figured out she didn't belong to anyone,

01:30 we ended up adopting her.

01:32 We had Gary, our friend, for about six years.

01:38 How he would react to her was our number one thought.

01:42 I was shocked at how much they have become best friends

01:47 and how much they really love hanging out with each other.
