00:00We took part in the Tesco Strong Starts initiative and we were fortunate enough to get some funding.
00:08And we looked at, you know, looking at what we already do. We wanted to do something more creative with our families.
00:15So we identified some families to do a slow cooker club, which was great.
00:20And, you know, children came in, worked with their families and cooked nutritious meals in slow cookers.
00:26And it was fantastic in school because we spent the whole day smelling this lovely food being cooked.
00:30And then at the end of the day, the parents would come back with their children and take the food away to eat in the evening.
00:37But, you know, these are just great, great opportunities.
00:40And for us as a school to enable us to direct our families to these places when they're on the long holidays, they are going to eat nutritiously.
00:50They are going to be able to socialise with other children and be active.
00:55We have to do less in terms of getting them ready for learning.
