I think of Holden Caulfield when I hear this song. Do you know who he is? It's like life tricked me into falling in love when I was finally ready to live alone without it. But as I was running through the fields, I caught a whiff of her perfume… and I suddenly went off the cliff.
The song is not really a sad song because you don’t know the ending. Maybe I lived happily ever after? Or maybe I crashed and burned?
Chris Kisgen did a superb job of finding the perfect harmonics on this song... And he played several other guitars too. You can hear all kinds of things with a good set of headphones. I have always loved the musical “depth” of this song.
I came up with the double off-beat drums by accident… and liked it. And about that time, I bought a baritone guitar. That’s the very low sounding guitar on the song. A baritone guitar is what they used on the theme song for Law and Order. That’s what’s on this song. Deep and dark.
Very nice tune. Lots of depth musically. One of my favorite songs. Mfd: baritone guitar, vocal, song, video, percussion Chris Kisgen: lead guitars, bass, backing vocals
