00:08Boston entered as a minus 225 favorite to win this series outright in the Hoist Championship

00:14banner number 18 in Beantown after a dominant game one performance covering as a six and

00:21a half point favorite 107-89.

00:24The Celtics now minus 420 to win the NBA championship.

00:28Yeah, I love to be a little bit of a contrarian, which is why I like the Boston Celtics at

00:32minus six and a half last night, just because the way the public was loading up and I'm

00:35saying, boy, are we really giving a gift here to the Celtics because of how good they are

00:38and poor Zingas is coming back.

00:40But it's hard to absolutely love it because technically I didn't know what was going to

00:43happen.

00:44Now you're taking a look at what happened in game number one.

00:46I'll say right now, I'm probably going to buy some stock in Luka Doncic because even

00:49if they play bad, he's like, all right, I always get my own shot.

00:52He shot 26 times and scored 30 points.

00:55If that game was within single digits in the fourth quarter, he scores 40 points in

00:58that game.

00:59And who knows how many rebounds and assists he would accumulate at that point.

01:02But things have to change here for Dallas.

01:04And also when I talk about that contrarian angle, a lot of times, okay, you know what?

01:08Everybody's going to be down on Dallas and rightfully they should be.

01:10That's a big price point.

01:11Now that you can take on the Dallas Mavericks based on what I saw last night and healthy

01:16Boston Celtics team, who again, I preface this by saying they didn't play all that great

01:20last night, the Boston Celtics and easily won that game.

01:24That gives me a lot of pause, even at some of those bigger price points on the Dallas

01:27Mavericks, even though we've only played one game.

01:30And I think that because of the fashion in which Boston dismantled Dallas in game number

01:36one, people are thinking Boston is going to blow out the Mavericks throughout the entirety

01:40of this NBA finals.

01:42Ooh, maybe it wasn't so easy for the Celtics in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

01:47Maybe it's just that Boston has been that supreme team in the association all year long.

01:52And I think there is truth to that statement, but I don't think the Celtics are pulling

01:56off another gentleman's sweep.

01:58I don't think the Celtics are going to outright sweep the Mavs as well.

02:02So as we look at the odds for this series to end in four games, it's still unlikely

02:07at plus 440, but you see that plus 210 number, I'll take it even a step further.

02:13The Celtics at plus 240 to win this series in only five, Dallas gets one at a certain

02:20point.

02:21Now, Johnny, you see the updated series spread.

02:23It's the C's laying a gate or two and a half games now at plus 122.

02:28That's a bad bet.

02:29That would mean that Boston has to win this series in five games.

02:34If you think that is possible, the Celtics at plus 240 to win this series in five is

02:40better.

02:41That does take into account that Boston could also win in an outright sweep, but I don't

02:45think we believe that is going to happen.
