00:00And I'm watching this guy, TJ McConnell, this little white dude, 6'1", all, you know, I just couldn't believe my eyes.
00:08I don't know how many times I said this, quote, this guy, end quote.
00:15I just kept saying it over and over.
00:16I'm watching a game with my son every night, and I'm like, this guy, what?
00:22This guy is killing him.
00:24This guy is unbelievable.
00:26This guy is making, this guy's sticking J's in seven-footers' faces.
00:32This guy won't pick up his dribble.
00:34He just keeps dribbling until he gets his spot and shot.
00:37And I just thought he was absolutely phenomenal.
00:42I thought he was the most exciting player to watch, honestly, on the Pacers the entire series, the entire playoff run.
00:51And if you go back, you know, I was on this team from the jump.
00:56I told you going into the playoff, they're the team you don't want to play.
00:59I told you going into every series they were going to win.
01:01I told you they were going to beat every team.
01:04The Knicks, it didn't matter.
01:05And then when they got to this round, I said they're going to lose.
01:08And they did.
01:09Because that team they played is flat out better than them.
01:12And it took them seven to prove it, but they were better.
01:16They were better.
01:17Here he is after.
01:18We'll end with this very emotional T.J. McConnell.
01:22It was a tough, tough feeling to see your franchise guy go down like that.
01:27But to have to move on and kind of compartmentalize it is tough.
01:35You know, I thought we were fine.
01:38We, you know, I don't even remember the score going into halftime, but we were up one.
01:44So, you know, I thought we did a good job of kind of compartmentalizing it.
01:50Obviously, we missed him, but, you know, we all are devastated for him and, you know, obviously support him.
02:02Yeah, I mean, it sucks what happened to the guy.
02:05And, you know, you don't wish that on anybody, but it happens.
02:11And now, like, look at three of the biggest stars in the league are gone for a year because of Achilles tears.
02:16I mean, it is – I told you, I don't even like to talk about that.
02:20Knees, ankles, and Achilles don't even – it's just not something I like talking about.
02:26I don't.
02:26I find it – you know, I'm old, and I play a lot.
02:30And so, you know, an injury like that, I'm finished.
02:34Finished.
02:34Done.
02:34That'll be the end.
02:35I've always feared those types of things.
02:38I've broken every bone in my body.
02:40I've had 14 surgeries, but I'm scared to death of that.
02:45And that thing – a guy like me, something like that, I mean, I – like, he – like, they carried him off the floor,
02:51but, you know, he was on crutches doing his thing after the game and getting out of the arena.
02:55They'd have to wheel me out.
02:57I wouldn't even be able to do the, you know, the crutches or anything.
03:02I'd be finished.
03:02And, I mean, I'd be crippled for eight, nine months after that surgery.
03:07I wouldn't even be able to walk.
03:08Like, that is bad luck.
03:11Man, that is bad.
03:12And when I saw that guy's foot snap, I knew – I knew right away that he was finished.
