00:00A team in the Rose City hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight.

00:04It's Portland and Minnesota in NBA Cup Action West Group A.

00:10The Timberwolves, nine-point road favorite.

00:12Take it on the Blazers, 2-19 and a hook is the total.

00:17Yeah, and boy it wasn't a good show any other night with Billups just ripping his team in

00:22Portland about how just absolutely embarrassing they are.

00:26And now you've got a Minnesota team here.

00:29And really, this whole cup thing, Ben, a lot of this all has to do, of course, with

00:33the group stages and what your group is.

00:36Because some of these odds, even looking at the board where I've got a 2-8 Milwaukee team

00:41at better odds than what the Phoenix Suns are.

00:44Keep in mind, it's all based upon the group stage.

00:47So it really doesn't matter what these teams have done prior to this.

00:51It only matters what they do on these Tuesdays and Fridays.

00:55And Portland in an interesting spot with an opportunity to give Timberwolves all they

01:01can handle tonight.

01:02I'm kind of shocked it's only eight and a half, Ben.

01:04I thought it would be closer to double digits here.

01:07But this is a spot I'd be willing to back Portland in a bounce back thing and give a

01:14little more effort here to Minnesota, who might just think they can cakewalk through

01:19this game.

01:20These two teams will play each other tomorrow night.

01:23But that's not NBA Cup group play action.

01:26That's just a regular, regular season game.

01:29Portland has been booked as an underdog runnery in every single game this year.

01:34They are 3-8 straight up.

01:37They are 5-6 against the number.

01:41Minnesota, 6-4 this year.

01:43But they've actually gone over more often this year than you would expect as one of

01:47the best defensive teams a season ago in the NBA.

01:51The absence of Carl Anthony Towns, who knows.

01:54But over in six of ten games this year.

01:57Maybe we see some points tonight in the Rose City at 2-18 being that total.

02:03The team that has the best record, by the way, in West Group A, it's not the Timberwolves

02:08or the Clippers or the Kings.

02:09It's the Houston Robins off to a 7-4 start this season.

02:14Now let's get out to Salt Lake, where one of the worst teams in the NBA will host the

02:18Phoenix Suns off to a great start this year.

02:20And yet the Suns not covering a ton of numbers at an 8-2 mark.

02:25But the Jazz are the worst team in the Western Conference right now, 2-7.

02:29Joe, both of these teams in West Group B as I see it.

02:35Yeah, no Kevin Durant, no Nerkic also.

02:38Looks like he's not going here tonight.

02:41And the Phoenix coming off of that overtime loss in Sacramento on Sunday.

02:44This is not a great spot.

02:46And as bad as Utah is, they are finally healthy here and have been off since Saturday.
