00:00Police have arrested the parents of 6-year-old Zain Ryan Abdul Matin who was found dead about 200 metres from his home in Damansara Damai on December 6th.
00:13Haryat Metro reported that the couple, both aged 28, were arrested in Punja Alam yesterday morning.
00:20Selangor Police Chief Hussein Omar confirmed the arrests and said a remand order will be obtained for the couple today.
00:28The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
00:33Zain was reported missing at noon on December 5th.
00:37The case was reclassified from sudden death to murder after a post-mortem revealed there were injuries to the boy's body.
00:45In January, Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department Director Suhaile Zain said police had recorded the statements of more than 200 people in connection with the case.
00:55In March, Hussein denied the police was slow to act in investigating the murder.
