00:00A National Defence University student pleaded not guilty at the Magistrate's Court today

00:05to assaulting his junior by stomping on his stomach.

00:09Aidilmat Awangani was slapped with a charge under Section 323 of the Penal Code for causing

00:14hurt to Haziq Iqbal Ahmad Rashidi.

00:16He was alleged to have stepped on Haziq while wearing spike-soled boots at the UPNM training

00:21field on October 21st.

00:23If found guilty, he could be jailed up to a year, fined or both.

00:27Mdm Noor Elina Hanim Abdul Halim granted Aidil bail of 5,000 ringgit with one surety.

00:33She also ordered him not to harass potential witnesses such as the victim, fellow classmates

00:38and UPNM officers, who would testify later.
