00:00The best thing Carlisle said yesterday, Cam, before the game, he told an unbelievable story
00:10about Bill Walton.
00:11And of course, Bill Walton passed away yesterday, passed away at 71 from cancer and yesterday
00:17and Cam, the story that Carlisle told was incredible.
00:22He said, we are on the, obviously the 86 Celtics together.
00:25He got his, like one of his first dates with his now wife, Bill got him into a grateful
00:29dead concert in Washington DC, told him to bang on the back door and ask for this guy.
00:36It was just a typical story that it had Bill Walton all over it.
00:40And I thought that was the coolest thing Carlisle did yesterday was tell that Bill Walton story,
00:44which also absolutely sucks.
00:45And I obviously, Cam, know Bill Walton more for his announcing than his playing.
00:50I know how great of a player he was, but my life, it was more of the announcing side of
00:54it.
00:55Man, is he going to be missed?
00:56Yeah.
00:57He was on with all those games.
00:58Those late night college basketball games always fun when Walton was on them.
01:01That's the thing.
01:02Like now you have broadcasters.
01:03He was a character too, and he brought in like, you know, music and everything else
01:07to it.
01:08And you don't find people like that with a dynamic personality, Tyrone Nesby, no way.
01:11Like I remember when he was doing like Clipper games, like he just, I just sit there and
01:16laugh my ass off because Bill Walton was an entertainer and a broadcaster.
01:20You don't see him like that anymore.
01:23Rest in peace, buddy.
01:24Wicked player, great announcer, cool guy.
01:26And you know what I liked about him?
01:27He did it his way.
01:28He was a very original person and nobody told him, you know what, I'm me.
01:32So let me be me.
01:33And I respect that.
