over the past three decades. According to the Higher Education Ministry, 5,697 Malaysians are

currently studying in China, with 1,425 in Beijing, 933 in Zhejiang, 735 in Fujian, and 626 in Shanghai.

This visit marks Ahmad Zahid's first official trip to China since taking office in December 2022.
