Zahid sends off 200 students to China for TVET exposure

Some 200 students are heading to China to gain valuable TVET (technical and vocational education and training) exposure. They were sent off at Kuala Lumpur International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and other leaders on Monday (Oct 7). 00:05In the beginning, only 3,125 people were invited to give a chance to get a Tibetan citizenship in China,

00:20in several Tibetan institutions.

00:22I am grateful that after I came to China, the Chinese government has added another 2,000,

00:32making it 5,122.

00:35Of course, this is related to the 50th year of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia.

00:43We know that for the past 50 years,

00:49the Chinese have valued Malaysia very much.

00:52Although I was informed by Mr. Haji Manzri,

00:56unfortunately, the relatives who went to China to study

01:04were forced to get help from their parents to buy their own tickets.

01:10The head of MCI told me,

01:15Inshallah, in a short time, we will pay them back.

01:19Those who went to China to study, we will pay them back as well.

01:27Of course, I am confident that with a good relationship

01:33between Mr. Datuk Sri Anwar Ibrahim,

01:37with the Chinese President Li Chang,

01:43and also President Yi,

01:47I think, in my heart and in my mind,

01:52next year, they will add more to send our students to Tibet.
