02:14 consider their local elections to be very preferable and important.

02:19 And because there are only three seats in Kashmir,

02:24 if we take J&K, there are five seats in total,

02:31 the common people see it from a little distance.

02:34 But, in this election, there will be a lot of participation.

02:39 And the reason for this will be that,

02:42 the conditions in which people passed after abrogating Article 370,

02:49 it will have an impact on them,

02:52 they will want to participate in the election,

02:54 they will want to vote.

02:56 And secondly, the issues of unemployment,

03:01 it will also have an impact in Kashmir.

03:04 And thirdly, the local situation,

03:12 the local issues, although not for the whole country,

03:17 but the local issues,

03:19 and the power crisis was very much at this time,

03:22 which affected the common man and he was affected.

03:26 And fourth, which I think is big,

03:29 the price rise will have an impact.

03:32 And that is why people will participate,

03:35 and will take part in the election,

03:38 and will want that the traditional parties should not be voted,

03:47 That is why I think that the vote will go to the traditional parties,

03:55 and the traditional politicians have been disowned.

04:20 my assessment that the vote will perhaps go towards the traditional parties,

04:27 Second is, what will be the impact of this election,

04:32 and the second message will be,

04:34 when people are participating in large numbers in Kashmir for the first time,

04:38 it will be more than what we have seen for the last 30 years.

04:43 And it would be, let me tell you very clearly,

04:47 this is a message that we are not with the situation which we have undergone

04:52 for the last so many years, particularly after 2014.

04:57 We are under the situation after 2014.

05:02 So perhaps this is something that BJP has also realised,

05:08 and that is why they did not put their candidates in Kashmir.

05:11 So they too have realised that there is anger in the people,

05:15 and that anger will be seen in the elections.

05:18 So what I believe is, okay.

05:20 Elections are going to come on 30th September,

05:24 the election commission has said that the elections would be conducted in J&K,

05:28 and what happens after that remains to be seen,

05:31 because BJP, Yogesh, has been a partner in alliance with the PDP also,

05:37 one of the prominent political parties there.

05:39 During Ghajpuri ji's time, NCP was also there.

05:43 But as Ahmed Ayaz Sahib said, people are coming out for voting,

05:50 but now the thing to see is where this vote is going.

05:53 Where is it going?

05:54 If we are talking about J&K, if it is divided into two parts, J&K and Ghati,

05:59 in both, in the previous elections, we have seen,

06:03 when the Vidhan Sabha elections were also there,

06:05 how the area of J&K used to vote, and the area of Ghati used to vote.

06:10 And if the resentment that Ayaz Sahib has pointed out in the area of Ghati,

06:16 if that resentment is still there, if those things are still there,

06:20 then obviously, if we remove the 307,

06:23 we have done the integration, the so-called integration that is being done,

06:26 that we have done it completely in India,

06:28 then if that resentment is still visible,

06:30 and if through voting, through more people coming out,

06:32 that resentment goes to the negative side,

06:35 resentment is negative, I am sorry to say,

06:37 if it goes that way, then obviously, this is a very serious issue.

06:40 It can be for the BJP.

06:42 It is serious for the whole country, leave it for the BJP,

06:45 politics keeps coming and going,

06:47 but it will be a serious issue for the whole country's integration, integrity.

06:55 what Farooq Abdullah had to say right after casting his vote.

06:58 He says, and I quote him,

07:00 "It is sad that they say there is no violence and everything is smooth.

07:04 But I want to say that the workers of our party have been locked up for two days.

07:09 I want to ask Union Home Minister and Prime Minister Modi,

07:13 why have our workers been locked?

07:15 Are they scared that they will lose?
