00:00Baltimore and Cleveland tied for the best record in the AL. Now
00:09we go to the National League. It really Donnie the story is
00:12the same atop the NL. We expected before the year got
00:16going. It would be the Dodgers and the Braves. It's really
00:19where the prices remain at this moment. Plus 165 was the
00:23opening day number for LA. 5 cents off that plus 160 plus
00:28250 was the opening day number for the Braves plus 220. Now
00:32for Atlanta still the best record in the National League
00:36based on win percentage despite the Philadelphia Phillies
00:39having the most wins. The Phil is the first team in MLB to get
00:43to that 20 win threshold and because of it a dollar and a
00:47half off the price of Philly, but you're already starting to
00:51see the tears emerge in the National League. There's the
00:53big two LA and Atlanta and then right behind them is
00:59Philadelphia and then from the Phil's to everybody else a
01:02considerable drop off as well. Yes, and that's what we have to
01:06focus on the Phillies again. The first team in Major League
01:08baseball with 20 wins, but not even in first place to say how
01:11to make that make sense. Well, the Braves still have a couple
01:13games in hand at 19 and nine on the season, even though they
01:16did lose their past two games, the Phillies did win their game
01:19last night. So they're only a half game out with to take a
01:21look at the shelves right in the National League. It really
01:23feels like to me Ben to Atlanta Braves, the Philadelphia
01:26Phillies and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Now hear me out on
01:28this. I don't expect things from the Mets Nationals and
01:31Marlins down the stretch to challenge the Phillies or the
01:33Braves for supremacy in the east here, but let's roll it
01:35over to the West Coast here. The Dodgers at 19 and 13 on the
01:38season not tremendous, but the only reason why you're taking a
01:41look at them with a four game lead out in the West is because
01:44we haven't played great baseball with the other teams
01:46in the division. We didn't expect anything coming into the
01:49season from the Colorado Rockies and we're getting
01:51Nothing from them, but the Arizona Diamondbacks made it
01:53to the World Series last year. They're under 500 the Padres
01:57even though they lost some talent in the offseason still
01:59very talented under 500. The San Francisco Giants had a very
02:02good offseason finally here and got some playmakers. They're
02:06under 500 as well. I'm waiting to see behind the Dodgers who
02:09actually tries to push them throughout the summer because
02:11the one thing that I'm actually surprised of if you would have
02:14told me here in the month of May as we open up today that
02:17the Dodgers would be in first place, but everybody else would
02:20be under 500. Then I might tell you they have a seven or eight
02:23game lead at this point and it's already done here, but so
02:25the the Dodgers catching some breaks on how the rest of that
02:28division is playing now. If we focus on the central much like
02:31I just told you about the American League Central. I'm
02:33not looking to buy on those teams, but also these teams are
02:36having good seasons. You take a look at the Pirates who opened
02:38up very good have now slipped to 14 and 17 two games under
02:42500 the Cardinals here, but then you take a look at the Reds
02:44above 500 the Cubs at 18 and 12. That's not barely getting by
02:48that's a very good record. And then the Brewers at 18 and 11.
02:51I think there might be a chance that these teams could make some
02:54noise like when a playoff round, but again to me, it's really
02:57hard to focus outside of the Braves Phillies and Dodgers
03:00because I do believe they are head and shoulders above the
03:02rest of the National League.
