On April 28, the Election Commission of India (ECI) directed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to revise the content of its Lok Sabha campaign song to adhere to the Advertising Codes outlined in the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994, and ECI guidelines. The AAP was requested to make necessary modifications to the song and resubmit it for certification. “The phrase “jail ke jawaab me hum vote denge” showing an aggressive mob holding the photo of Arvind Kejriwal showing him behind bars, casts aspersions on the Judiciary. Further, the said phrase appears several times in the advertisement which contravenes the provisions of ECI Guidelines and Rule 6(1(g) of Programme and Advertising Codes prescribed under the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994” (DISPLAY) said ECI.

00:54Senior AAP leader Ateshi addressing a press conference expressed that the Election Commission's
00:59decision to impose a ban on the party's campaign song is unprecedented.
01:03According to her, the EC cited the portrayal of the ruling party and investigation agencies
01:08in a negative light as the reason for the ban.

01:16Model Code of Conduct as it includes factual videos and incidents.
01:21Ateshi, who also serves as the Delhi government minister, criticised the EC for allegedly
01:27not taking action on poll code violations by the BJP.
01:31If the BJP does dictatorship, it is right.
01:34But if someone talks about it, that is wrong.
01:37This shows that democracy is in danger.

02:02for the party as a response to the Chief Minister's arrest.

02:11the 2021-22 excise policy.
02:14The Indian Government has arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for alleged irregularities
02:22after the Lok Sabha election announcement.
02:27Arvind Kejriwal was arrested for not being able to campaign in the Lok Sabha elections.
02:35This happens only in the Tana-Shahi governments, where opposition leaders are put in jail.
