00:02 So let's break it down to have some fun to see
00:07 if we can find some ins and outs and some angles to play.
00:09 2.10 p.m. this game is gonna start.
00:11 It's Atlanta and it's Houston.
00:13 Max Fried, the lefty will be on the mound for the Braves
00:15 going up against Houston's JP France.
00:17 The total across the board here,
00:18 which includes the Fandler Sportsbook, is listed at nine.
00:21 A favorite that opened up overnight at minus 132
00:24 is a road favorite here for the Atlanta Braves,
00:26 now showing live at a minus 138 price.
00:29 Houston, six and 13 on the season.
00:32 Can they at least scrape together a W
00:34 against Atlanta today?
00:35 Or we just can't trust Houston just yet here.
00:38 I mean, this is a pretty difficult one
00:40 'cause both of these starting pitchers
00:41 have been brutal to start the year.
00:43 France has not been, I mean, France was not particularly
00:46 good to begin with.
00:47 Fried has been very good for the Braves,
00:49 but has been awful to start the year.
00:50 He's also up against an Astros team that just,
00:53 I mean, they do just absolutely crush
00:55 left-handed starting pitching, right?
00:56 That is kind of what they are built to do.
00:58 Not that they're bad against right-handed starting pitching,
01:01 but anytime there is a formerly very good starting pitcher
01:05 who is struggling that I never really believed in
01:08 to begin with, like Fried's prospect profile
01:10 was not one that I was in love with.
01:12 He didn't profile as a big swing and miss guy.
01:14 He was never gonna strike out 30% of the guys that he faced.
01:17 It was kind of, you know, the magic
01:21 of being a starting pitcher in Major League Baseball,
01:23 getting out when you needed them,
01:25 getting out to be a contact.
01:26 I just don't really like that profile of guy.
01:29 Not gonna take a side here.
01:30 I know a second time already on the show,
01:32 I'm not taking a side,
01:33 don't wanna take a side in Hawks Bowls either,
01:35 but I do like the over here a good bit.
01:38 I've talked already on the show about how I'm really not,
01:42 I'm actually my worry meter for the Astros hitters is zero.
01:45 For the pitchers, it's higher than zero,
01:47 but I think that they're just gonna be
01:50 probably the third best lineup in the American League
01:52 in terms of hitting when all is said and done.
01:55 And the Braves lineup is completely self-explanatory.
01:58 They are the second best lineup in the National League.
02:00 Nine, I mean, I would expect,
02:02 I mean, what happened yesterday was this series opened
02:06 at nine, went to nine and a half, went to 10.
02:08 By the time I went on Pharrell coast to coast
02:10 in the afternoon, it had moved all the way to 10 and a half.
02:13 So let's just go ahead and get out in front of it
02:15 and let's take the over on nine here.
