00:00 Good pitching matchup today as we discussed with Craig Nish, Carlos Rodon for New York,
00:07 Yusei Kikuchi for Toronto.
00:09 The Pinstripes a slight road money line favorite at -120, total at 8.5.
00:15 What gives today in Toronto?
00:16 Yeah, let's see if we get some runs.
00:18 Didn't have those yesterday, Ben, but last year Carlos Rodon coming over for the Yankees
00:22 as a free agent was an absolute disaster.
00:24 This season it hasn't been quite as bad, but still not great.
00:27 He's a left-handed pitcher.
00:28 He's dominant against left-handed batters, which is a good thing.
00:31 But primarily when you have a left-handed pitcher, the other lineup, which would be
00:34 the Blue Jays tonight, going to like the stack, right-handed batters together.
00:37 And if you take a look at Carlos Rodon against right-handed batters this season, Ben, 196
00:42 ISO, which is elevated, 353 weighted on base percentage, which is elevated also.
00:46 In the middle of that lineup, if we take out Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who doesn't have very
00:50 good ISO power numbers against left-handed pitching, take a look at the next four guys
00:54 in that lineup, all right-handed batters.
00:56 Mo Bechet, a 187 ISO power number.
00:58 Justin Turner, 273.
01:00 David Schneider, a 500 ISO power number.
01:03 And Danny Jantzen, a 308 ISO power number.
01:06 So if you're looking for RBI shots and the damage to come from that Toronto lineup, it's
01:10 going to be between those four players.
01:12 Now if we flip it over to the New York Yankees in this lineup, they've actually done very
01:15 well this year, Ben, against left-handed pitching.
01:17 First six guys in the lineup, weighted on base percentages, all elevated and in the
01:21 green.
01:22 But if we take a look at, you say, Kikuchi, as I talked about with Craig, 65 batters he's
01:26 faced this season, his combined ISO power number, an 052, weighted on base percentage,
01:31 271.
01:32 He's been unbelievably good here.
01:34 So maybe we are looking at more towards an under in a smaller ballpark today.
01:38 But if I'm looking for RBI shots, not going to come from a Yankees perspective.
01:42 It's coming from Toronto, the middle of that order, Ben.
