Black ribbon to adorn Opera House as NSW mourns victims of Bondi stabbing

NSW Premier Chris Minns has confirmed that the Opera House will be lit up with a black ribbon on Monday April 15, 2024, as flags are flown at half mast across the nation.

00:07 to commemorate the loss of those lives and government buildings will be flying their

00:11 flags at half-mast.

00:12 I'm pleased to say that most states around the country have also adopted a national day

00:17 of mourning and taken down their flags to half-mast in recognition of the lives lost

00:23 in New South Wales and in solidarity with our state.

00:26 I've been contacted by many premiers expressing that solidarity over the last 48 hours.

00:32 Families are in mourning today.

00:34 Lives have been devastated as a result of these criminal actions and we think about

00:39 those families this morning who are dealing with the loss of their loved ones.
