00:00 A ship of the Indian Coast Guard is currently in the country for some exercises with the Philippine Coast Guard.

00:07 The exercises are being conducted outside the territorial waters of the Philippines.

00:16 The Indian Coast Guard ship, Samudra Pahiridar, passed through the Philippine Coast Guard's Pier 15 today for a port call.

00:25 According to Commodore Algie Recafrente, Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for International Affairs,

00:30 aside from marine pollution response, they also have other training exercises that are conducted with the ICG.

00:36 "What we have in our lineup is our training and demonstration of their capability on marine environmental protection.

00:44 We will also have training on maritime law enforcement, particularly on board and search operations and then search and rescue."

00:54 Algie Recafrente clarified that the Indian Coast Guard ship will not leave the port,

01:40 The PCG added that aside from the alliance's cooperation, this activity also aims to ensure the interoperability of the two countries.

01:48 Meanwhile, a gathering and walkathon was held with 80 PCG personnel and 40 ICG personnel for the coastal cleanup in Dolomite Beach.
