00:03 So this is the key story going on right now as far as like the drama is concerned
00:08 and suspicious betting is concerned.
00:10 And I saw this percolating on social media last week about Temple basketball and
00:15 a point spread that changed significantly on a lot of the sports books between
00:20 a game between Temple and UAB.
00:23 So I have a lot of questions here, Mike, regarding this.
00:25 I don't think it's highly unusual for a point spread to change significantly.
00:28 I know the outcome is people questioning this 100 to 72, they lose at home.
00:34 But I guess the number one question, Mike,
00:36 I don't know if you have the answer to this,
00:37 was this the allegations that are being made here on the suspicious activity?
00:41 Is this the sports books telling integrity that this is happening?
00:46 Because aren't they the one that changed the lines, right?
00:48 So are they the ones that somehow get alerted to begin with or am I crazy here?
00:52 >> Yeah, correct.
00:54 I don't exactly know how the system works, but I would assume, yeah,
00:57 they may have alerted US integrity.
00:58 Obviously, there was a lot of talk, right?
01:00 I think VEASAN had a segment on this before US integrity even came out and
01:04 said they were investigating, right?
01:05 They said, between an hour, it went from minus two to minus eight,
01:09 which is a pretty eye popping line.
01:11 The key there is there's no big injury suspension, coach out sick or
01:16 something gets COVID and he can't coach.
01:18 So you've got the interim coach in or something like that.
01:20 There was no big significant injury news there.
01:22 I did talk to one person who went to that game and said, I think it was UAB,
01:26 employed like a 131 trap and they were just way more talented.
01:29 So we'll see what comes out of this, right?
01:30 Maybe it just was the line was bad, and some people picked up on it and
01:35 they bet the favorite and the favorite rolled against Temple.
01:38 And the reason this, I just bring this back up, obviously,
01:41 I know it's a little old, is Temple's going to play in the conference
01:42 tournament on Wednesday, playing who they just won.
01:46 Temple won at the buzzer yesterday.
01:48 I think they're playing the same team.
01:49 I think it's UTSA, Texas, San Antonio maybe.
01:53 So, this is going to be something where our books going to be offering this.
01:57 I think Bleed Giraffe Kings offered yesterday's game.
01:59 I think maybe Fandle didn't, maybe Fanatics didn't as well.
02:02 So there's a couple books that offered the game and
02:04 then some that did not out of just being over cautious, right?
02:09 Just in case there is some nefarious activity going on.
02:12 This is something as you know, Craig, pro sports cannot afford, right?
02:15 We'll talk about Rudy Gobert.
02:16 It's something that no team, whether it's point shaving or
02:20 a referee making a call for sports betting reasons.
02:23 That Tim Donahue scandal, obviously the NBA is sensitive to.
02:26 So, we'll be following this story and hopefully there's nothing here.
02:30 Hopefully US Integrity finds, hey, some sharp bettors made some really good bets.
02:35 And then the line moves significantly because there's heavy action on UAB and
02:39 then we'll see where it goes.
02:40 But obviously if there is nefarious activity, and
02:42 we know this isn't the first Temple game they've investigated,
02:44 then you've got a huge problem on your hands.
02:46 So, gonna be imperative to see how these findings come out,
02:50 do a thorough investigation and we'll see where it goes from here.
