You look a bit like Matt Healy.
00:02
Thank you. I'll take that.
00:04
Someone has said that to me in the past.
00:06
So I'll take that. Here to see the 1975.
00:08
I mean, you're a bit early.
00:10
A bit early. A little bit.
00:12
I mean, not really. Not too...
00:14
We're almost at the 24 hour point.
00:16
Once one fan arrives, everyone just starts panicking.
00:18
Everyone floods.
00:20
Why do you want to come so early?
00:22
Get front row. Get barrier.
00:24
To get up close.
00:26
Not that it matters for my height.
00:28
I don't know where I am. I can see.
00:30
Just to be with everyone.
00:32
It's the community as well.
00:34
We've got friends from all around the world.
00:36
We convene for this. We don't convene for other stuff.
00:38
Where did you all come from today?
00:40
I've come from Oxford.
00:42
Southwest London at 8 o'clock this morning.
00:44
Did you know each other before?
00:46
Not before the band.
00:48
Pretty much everyone here is met through the band.
00:50
We've got...
00:52
Like Posi said, Americans have come over.
00:56
There were people from the Philippines last tour.
01:00
Italy.
01:02
What is it about the 1975 then that gets you so excited?
01:08
I think for me they're really authentic artists.
01:10
So I really like their...
01:12
I really like what they produce.
01:14
You could talk to some of the people and they'd be like,
01:16
"Oh, I love Maddie!"
01:18
For me it's not about that.
01:20
It's about the songs and the meanings.
01:22
And what the band is saying.
01:24
Their production is beautiful.
01:26
Pretty much the same for me.
01:28
Maddie puts a bit of an act on nowadays.
01:30
But back in the day he was really like...
01:32
He loves the word "earnest".
01:34
I'm going to use his word "earnest".
01:36
About everything he says.
01:38
His sentiments about things.
01:40
Which still stand.
01:42
But he just likes to put a bit more of a ridiculous act on now.
01:44
A bit of a goofy act.
01:46
He is a big showman.
01:48
But I think if you look at all the great bands,
01:50
they have a great showman.
01:52
Or showwoman.
01:54
Or showperson.
01:56
Are you going to all tours?
01:58
I'm not.
02:00
You're going to most.
02:02
How much did that cost you?
02:04
I don't want to think about cost.
02:06
This tour, one of the shows will be my 40th show.
02:08
I think by the end of this tour I'll have seen them 43 times.
02:10
So I don't like to think about price.
02:12
I don't want to review how many times I've seen them
02:14
and how much that set me back.
02:16
I think it's a good thing.
02:18
I think it's a good thing.
02:20
I haven't been to nearly as many.
02:22
I've been to about half as many as you have.
02:24
But I think the thing is,
02:26
we can choose to spend money on buying things and stuff and objects.
02:28
Or you can spend money on experiences and friendship and making memories.
02:30
And for me, I don't think you can put a price on that.
02:32
And for me, I don't think you can put a price on that.
02:34
And for me, I don't think you can put a price on that.
02:36
memories and for me I don't think you can put a price on that.
