Josh Sawyer is the new owner of The Library Barbers in Victoria Road South, Southsea, and has just completed a revamp which reopened on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

00:00 Hi, I'm Josh Sawyer and I'm the owner of the Libra Barbers.

00:04 So tell me how long you've owned this for?

00:06 So I took over back in September last year. I've been working here for the last 10 years

00:12 and I bought out the other owner sort of before back in September.

00:19 Tell me what you think of the new look?

00:22 I love it. It's been great to be fair. It's lovely to put my own stamp on it and make it my own.

00:28 Yes, it's turned out better than I'd expected.

00:30 And what's the reaction been like to existing customers?

00:33 Been really, really good. Support's been great. Online, people walking past,

00:38 knocking on the window, sort of popping in. Just yeah, it's been really great and

00:42 everyone's loved it, which is good.

00:45 So tell me some of your aims moving forward.

00:47 Hopefully sort of grow a little bit. We've just got one chair kind of left to fill.

00:53 We've already had Jack join us from the start of the refit.

00:57 So yeah, hopefully sort of grow the team and get some more clients in and have a great year ahead.

01:03 So what's your message for prospective customers and do you accept walk-ins?

01:09 Yes, so at the moment we've got Jack sort of trying to build a client base.

01:14 And so yeah, we are accepting some walk-ins at the moment. We've got a little bit more space,

01:18 but it's starting to get a bit busier. So we'd always advise the book,

01:22 which you can do via Instagram, and it has a book now icon.

01:26 So you can book online, buy there at the library barbers.

01:29 But yeah, definitely if you're in and around the area, do pop in and if we can do it, we'll do it.
