00:09 out over the weekend and beyond on TV, streaming and in cinemas. So on Thursday the 11th we

00:17 have Boys Follows Universe, a seven-part Netflix series set in 1980s Brisbane. It follows a

00:26 precocious boy and his selectively mute brother as they embark on a journey of love, redemption

00:32 and retribution when their father is, their family rather, is torn apart by a drug lord.

00:39 Then on Friday, today as this goes out, we have The Beekeeper arriving in cinemas. I

00:45 discussed this on the main pod so do have a listen. But it's a new Jason Statham action

00:50 flick who, he plays a mysterious former beekeeper, a member of a secretive society that worked

01:00 as an extra check and balance on the excesses of the US government. And through a brutal

01:05 quest for revenge he's brought to the heart of American government and the Oval Office

01:10 itself. It's a pretty good action flick so I would recommend that. It's coming to cinemas

01:16 and will later be on Sky Cinema later this year. Also in cinemas is Poor Things, which

01:23 Benji discussed a little bit on the main pod. So it's the Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem

01:28 Dafoe drama, comedy, black comedy I guess, about Bella Baxter, a young woman who's brought

01:36 back to life by a brilliant scientist, Dr. Goodwin, played by Willem Dafoe, who then

01:42 becomes involved in this weird pseudo-sexual relationship with Mark Ruffalo's character.

01:49 Definitely want to watch ahead of awards season. That's in cinemas on Friday. Then another

01:54 film on Friday is Netflix movie A Deer. It's about a retired prostitute on the run. She

01:59 moves to a small town and starts a lingerie making business and this lingerie then empowers

02:05 conservative women in the society. So definitely want to watch another black comedy. Then on

02:12 Saturday the 13th we have the new series of Gladiators. This is a throwback to the '90s

02:17 series which ran for eight seasons and the sort of less popular 2008 reboot. This will

02:24 run for 11 episodes. It's the typical sort of reimagining of the game show we all know

02:30 from the '90s and is hosted by the father and son team, Bradley and Barney Walsh, who

02:36 says nepotism is dead. Then on Sunday the 14th, pretty big show this week, is True Detective

02:44 season 14. It's coming five years after the latest season of the show. It will be airing

02:51 on Sky Atlantic at 2.05am on Sunday but will be repeated at 9pm on Monday and again on

02:59 Wednesday with episodes airing weekly in those three slots. The new season is set in the

03:05 fictional town of Ennis in Alaska and it follows an investigation behind the disappearance

03:10 of eight men at a research station there and it stars Jodie Foster. The final of the snooker

03:18 masters is also on Sunday. This will be airing on BBC Two from 1pm and the final session

03:26 will be from 7pm on BBC Two and will also be on iPlayer. Then as previously discussed,

03:34 at length in the main podcast, the artful Dodger comes out on Wednesday the 17th. All

03:41 eight episodes, they'll be on Disney+. This stars David Thouless, Thomas Brodie-Sangster,

03:48 who plays Dodge. David Thouless, of course, plays Fagin. For more info on this, check

03:53 out the main pod but essentially it's a sort of sequel to Oliver Twist. Dodger's now living

03:58 in a penal colony in Australia in the 1850s, working as a doctor there when he falls in

04:03 love with the governor's daughter and reconnects with Fagin with a whole bunch of consequences.
