Police have released CCTV showing a gang attacking members of staff during a string of armed robberies after they were jailed for 54 years. The gang targeted five firms in across the West Midlands before they were eventually caught by police in July last year.
Police have arrested two people after four buses were set on fire in Solihull. On Monday Police received reports of two people onboard the number 49 bus attempting to set fire to seats on the top deck. A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of arson.
The battle to save St Paul's Church in the Jewellery Quarter is being stepped up as water gushes through the building consecrated in 1779. Mayor Andy Street made a video appeal and fundraisers are already being staged.
