00:09 Ballarat has a lot to offer people like me.

00:12 We have one of the strongest and most vibrant and diverse performing arts scenes in the country,

00:18 at least the state, and the amount of talent and variety of performances you can put on here is amazing.

00:26 So I'm sure I could do a lifetime of shows and works here and still have plenty of ideas left over that I could still pursue.

00:35 But yeah, Ballarat is very lucky to have so many performing arts venues.

00:39 We have a symphony orchestra, we've got the two music theatre companies, we've got the Rat Pack,

00:43 we have the Ballarat National Theatre, we have performing arts schools.

00:46 So it's a rich, melting pot of ideas and people.

00:51 And I think it's a place that I can contribute to and I like being part of that community.

01:00 I would like to see Ballarat's support for the performing arts grow even more.

01:05 I think there is quite a bit of support already, but I think I would like to see the local performing arts organisations

01:16 really embraced by the community and the city as a whole, because I believe that our performing arts is a jewel in our crown.
