00:00 So as we get ready for this Sunday slate week number 14
00:07 blue, we go to a game that will be in your afternoon window
00:11 live right here on the grid Sunday afternoon. The Chargers
00:15 and the Broncos an intriguing game because the Bolts are two
00:18 games below 500 at five and seven, but there are two and a
00:22 half point home favorite against the Broncos team that just had
00:25 their five game win streak snap last week on the road in
00:28 Houston, but it's six and six for Denver firmly in that AFC
00:32 wild card race blew it. How do you approach Sunday in Los
00:35 Angeles? Yeah, really interesting games as you said
00:38 in the late window. This being one of them. I do think and
00:41 I've said before Chargers really one of the most difficult
00:44 thing teams to bet on in the entire league probably the most
00:47 difficult team to bet on. It's it's hard to know what to trust
00:50 six. Nothing wins head scratching losses. They go.
00:54 They punch it out with the Lions in a game a few weeks ago.
00:57 so you don't really know what you're going to get. I will say
01:01 that this has a lot of strong trends towards the under I will
01:06 say just to pick a side. I don't feel great about it, but
01:09 I would lay the points here. I think the fact that it's under
01:12 a fuel goal. I'm going to lean with the Chargers here.
01:16 Denver's defense has obviously played a lot better, but my
01:19 my ultimate feeling on this game is I don't think we're
01:22 going to see too many points. There's trends against both
01:25 teams on the number Denver one one and three on the road this
01:29 year. The Chargers are one for one at home against the number,
01:32 but under Chargers are nine of their last ten and nine of
01:36 their last ten at home versus Denver Denver to the under eight
01:41 and two is a short underdog. So I think we have a tight game
01:44 here. It's probably separated by a fuel goal or not much more
01:48 than that. I'll lean to the Chargers, but my main bet here
01:51 is the under moving forward with these two football teams.
01:55 Mike, let's just say because coming into this game, Denver
01:57 six and six currently the ninth seed here and obviously the top
02:00 seven get into the playoffs here, but the Chargers at five
02:03 and seven in that twelve seed, everybody feels like outside of
02:06 the New England Patriots are out of it. But even last week,
02:09 you said the Denver Broncos for myself in the Houston Texans
02:11 wasn't necessarily an eliminator game, but certainly
02:13 pushes the winning team here into a higher standard of
02:16 possibly making the playoffs. If we're looking at both of
02:19 these teams, Denver and Los Angeles, who do you trust more
02:22 down the stretch? Like let's just say if the Chargers win
02:24 the move to six and seven right in the thick of things, do you
02:27 trust the Chargers can actually get to the playoffs or is this
02:30 just fool's gold right now with a bunch of bad football teams
02:32 still hovering around the playoffs? I think we I think we
02:36 discussed it last week where the the discussion points have
02:39 changed a little bit in the AFC as to wow, some of these
02:43 stalwarts are really going to hammer it out at the end of the
02:46 season, but we're really discovering that there's a lot
02:48 of flaws. Obviously, we have a lot of backup quarterbacks in
02:51 across the league, but there's a lot of flaws amongst these
02:54 teams. So I don't know that it it'll obviously position one
02:57 team a little bit better, but if the Chargers pull off this
03:00 game, they still have at Vegas, the Bills at Denver and the
03:06 Chiefs seasons far from over. This doesn't position them any
03:10 better or worse because you don't know what Chargers team
03:13 you're going to get. Plus they have four more tough games
03:16 coming up divisional games and the Bills coming up, who is
03:20 very hard to stop the Bills offensively right now.
