00:39 >> Well, I think the game was there for us to win in that second half.

00:43 I thought it was an even first half.

00:46 I don't think we played particularly well.

00:47 I felt there was a lot more to come from the team in that second half.

00:51 I thought we played a lot better and had them penned in.

00:54 And then conceded that first goal.

00:57 And I think that changed the momentum of the match.

00:59 So a frustrating evening for us.

01:01 Missed opportunity.

01:02 >> It's still only five points on the road.

01:05 Why have you not quite been able to translate the home form away?

01:09 >> Yeah, I mean, it's a difficult one for us to understand

01:14 because last year our way form was very good.

01:16 We were free scoring.

01:17 Our defensive record was very good as well.

01:21 This year we just -- the Sheffield United game apart,

01:24 we haven't really got going on the road.

01:27 Certainly something for us to reflect and analyse.

01:29 We know we can do a lot better.

01:30 >> And Kieran Trippie has been such a brilliant performer for you this season.

01:34 Obviously he was dispossessed for the first two goals.

01:37 What's his reaction been after that?

01:39 >> Kieran's been absolutely magnificent since he signed for the football club.

01:43 He's been incredible.

01:44 He's been the catalyst really for a lot of what's happened subsequently with our success.

01:49 So collectively we weren't there tonight.

01:51 It was nothing to do with any individual performances.

01:53 Collectively we were off our best.

01:59 was that performance always a risk?

02:01 Particularly late on a week, just fatigues him to catch up?

02:05 >> Yeah, I'm in a difficult position to really agree with that

02:10 because I think if I do, then what stops that happening again and again?

02:15 So I think we have to do better.

02:20 But there are then reasons behind every performance

02:25 and we have struggled to change our players in running

02:31 to try and have the attacking options that we feel we need to change the game.

02:36 So that's not there for us and that's a big miss.

02:38 We've got some quality players, outstanding players that aren't with us at the moment.

02:41 And I do think you can potentially do it for a short period of time.

02:46 The longer you do it, the harder it gets.

02:49 But not to say it's impossible.

02:51 So that's why I'm disappointed.

02:54 I think it was a missed opportunity for us today.

02:56 I don't think we really grabbed it and we paid the price.

02:59 >> Eddie, there seemed to be a bit of a scuffle between Joel Linton and Tarkowski at the end.

03:11 I think just emotions running high after a game.

03:13 We were certainly disappointed with our performance.

03:15 But there's no problems, I don't think.

03:20 >> How's Jamal, Eddie?

03:22 Is that the latest worry now?

03:25 >> Well, I don't think it's a serious one.

03:27 I think it's a dead leg.

03:28 So he's a knock to his thigh, I think.

03:30 Fingers crossed he'll be okay.

03:31 But I don't know at this moment.

03:32 >> Eddie, you said before this that you've lost the ability to rotate.

03:39 I mean, can I underestimate how much of a big pack that really is for you?

03:43 I mean, same ten players for like four games.

03:46 >> Yeah, I'm not underestimating how difficult that is because you have to

03:51 take into account, say, Louis Miley, looking at him individually, his age,

03:55 and being able to deal with not just the games, but the mental pressure that

03:58 the games bring is a huge ask for him.

04:00 But I thought, again, tonight he handled himself really, really well.

04:02 So yes, we have a lot of difficult situations at the moment that we're

04:11 trying to manage.

04:12 And the players to this point have been absolutely incredible in their response.

04:16 But today I just have to sort of call the performance for what I see.

04:19 We weren't our best.

04:20 So there are, as I said earlier, there are reasons around that.

04:23 But I have to call the performance, honestly.

04:25 >> And I guess about the reaction, that comes next now for you?

04:30 >> It always is.

04:30 I mean, that's the beauty of football.

04:32 You always have another game, and we have another game.

04:34 Of course, in a few days' time, that's sort of the schedule we've got in December.

04:38 It's a really big ask for the players.

04:40 We're desperate for help.

04:41 We're desperate to get some players back that can make a difference.

04:44 Hopefully that will happen.

04:46 But of course, there's no guarantees.

04:49 >> Have you got any positive injury news?

04:52 >> Well, yeah, I don't know.

04:54 So a lot of the players that are injured at the moment were working today at the

04:58 training ground.

04:58 So we are hopeful that we can get some support.

05:02 >> One in the middle, one of them, this section with Craig, and then Chris.

05:06 Yeah.

05:06 >> Eddie, Anthony Gould has been a revelation on the all-match campaign this season.

05:10 How much do you think the occasion got to him tonight?

05:12 He had a lot of good opportunities as well as a threat,

05:15 but it sounds like he's trying too hard at the table.

05:17 >> Yeah, I think that's a fair reflection.

05:18 I think Anthony, coming back here, it's a huge moment for him.

05:22 He had, as you said, some really big moments in the game,

05:27 especially in the second half.

05:29 It certainly wasn't for the lack of trying, as you said.

05:32 It was probably the opposite.

05:34 But he's been magnificent for us in recent weeks.

05:36 And yeah, he's got a huge part to play in our upcoming games.

05:42 >> Craig, anything for us?

05:44 >> How was tonight's knock on De Blasio, a pretty bruising end.

05:47 Has he got an issue with his back?

05:49 He seemed to be rolling his back a little bit.

05:50 >> I think he got a couple of knocks in the game.

05:53 I don't know of any permanent problem to his back.

05:58 Yeah, it would have been a difficult game for him, just the fact he conceded three goals.

06:01 But I think his overall performance was very good.

06:02 He made a couple of really good saves in that first half for us.

06:05 So I'm sure he'll be pleased to be back out there in the action.

06:09 And yeah, I don't think our performance has anything to do with him.

06:13 >> Chris, you mentioned the physical load on the players.

06:16 Physically, can this same group go again on Sunday?

06:19 Or will you simply have to make changes?

06:22 >> Well, we'll wait and see, Chris, I don't know.

06:25 We'll, as we always do, we don't just put the same players out there just for the sake of it.

06:29 We have to analyse how they're feeling.

06:32 Are they able to perform?

06:34 I felt there was enough of a gap between Manchester United and this game for us to perform.

06:39 I think they're doing very well physically.

06:42 The mental aspect is a much more harder thing to analyse.

06:47 So let's see how they look in the next couple of days.

06:50 >> Just on Emil Krafft coming on, Sendeback again, he's cleared that a few times for you now.

06:54 Do you see that as one of his positions for you?

06:57 >> It's definitely one of his positions, yeah.

06:58 I think he can play Sendehalf in a back two or a back three.

07:02 He's probably played it more for Newcastle in a back three.

07:05 But of course, right back would probably be his best position.
