00:16United and that's the thing I would say about Newcastle today. I would say this Newcastle

00:21team currently is very predictable. Look today, look at that performance, if you want to take

00:28some positives from it or a lot of positives, it depends on what you want to look at it.

00:31I thought Newcastle did compete with Chelsea after a torrid 20 minutes when Cole Palmer

00:37and Nicholas Jackson, two absolute treads out of Newcastle United's midfield and defence

00:41and Dan Byrne and Fabian Schaer really did struggle to deal with those two players. Led

00:46to the opener from Nicholas Jackson but Newcastle grew into the game after that and levelled

00:53through Alexander Isaac, great team move, team livermento right at the heart of it,

00:57gave us all a cross, Isaac couldn't miss from close range but immediately after the

01:04second half they shoot themselves in the foot, Isaac giving the ball away, Cole Palmer running

01:11right through, easy for Cole Palmer and Nick Pope didn't make it difficult for Cole Palmer,

01:17I thought Nick Pope should have done better with that and of course at the other end as

01:19well Newcastle should have equalised, Alexander Isaac chinks into the box and got Julian

01:24Frey with an open goal, decided to take it himself, completely messes it up and the chance

01:29goes begging, a lot of huffing and puffing from there. We know this Newcastle United

01:35team can compete and show that hard desire but they're lacking, they're really lacking

01:41quality at the moment in time, they're lacking a bit of inspiration I would say, it feels

01:45like a team at the moment that needs re-energised, it's very predictable, you know what you're

01:51going to get from Newcastle but they're not getting the results and that is a concern

01:56because football is built on results of course and they're not doing that at this moment

02:01in time, tough game coming up next week against Arsenal, of course they've got the cup tie

02:06now against Chelsea, that's changing this part of midweek and I think for me that could

02:10be a season definer because the cup of course is important to Newcastle but they're in a

02:16rut at the moment, they need to spark their life somehow and hopefully that can come midweek.
