00:02 I'm meteorologist Michelle McLeod,
00:07 bringing you your forecast from the Southeast.
00:09 You spot the front on this map?
00:11 Don't worry, I'll show it to you.
00:13 It's the line of demarcation between the warmer air
00:16 and the cooler air, the yellow and the green.
00:19 Got a cold front sweeping through
00:20 and it's been bringing some showers and thunderstorms.
00:23 Some of those have packed a punch.
00:24 We've had some tornado warnings,
00:25 severe thunderstorm warnings,
00:27 definitely had severe weather.
00:29 And of course, flooding, when it comes to the flooding.
00:32 Here's what I have for you.
00:33 I've got some flood watches for portions of Florida,
00:36 like Panama City, you go into Alabama like Dothan,
00:39 and you make way a little farther east, that's flood watch.
00:42 We've got flood warnings as well for portions of Florida.
00:44 And then I've got flood warning for New Smyrna Beach,
00:47 that's a river flood warning.
00:49 That one has been ongoing for quite some time.
00:52 Now, it's not all bad, the rain that we're seeing.
00:55 Look on the Western edge of Florida, Tampa,
00:57 you absolutely need the rain.
00:59 You're still seeing drought conditions.
01:01 And a lot of the Southeast has been getting on a soaker
01:04 and it's been much needed
01:06 as you're seeing those drought conditions.
01:08 But you know what I always say
01:09 when it comes to heavy rain and dry ground,
01:11 the potential for flash flooding is there
01:13 and that's why you have those flood alerts.
01:16 Now, for Sunday, here's what things are looking like.
01:19 That front that I just showed you,
01:20 that's gonna continue to move its way farther east
01:24 and you're gonna get some thunderstorms on Sunday as well.
01:28 So be on the lookout for the potential
01:32 for some flash flooding in those areas as well.
01:34 I wanna show you what things are looking like
01:36 on exclusive AccuWeather Future Radar.
01:38 By 8 a.m. you're gonna see the Atlanta Metro,
01:40 the upstate of South Carolina,
01:42 and around places like Macon, Georgia,
01:44 really getting in on more of those moderate showers.
01:47 By the afternoon, things start to fizzle out.
01:50 But look, it's really beneficial
01:53 to see how this is working out.
01:55 This moisture coming from the Gulf,
01:56 it is extending all the way into the Carolinas
01:59 along this front.
02:00 And this front seems to be slow moving.
02:02 So these storms are training
02:04 and now you're starting to see some of those oranges
02:07 and yellows in there.
02:08 So the rain is starting to gain steam a bit.
02:11 And then by Sunday night, it all starts to fizzle out.
02:15 That front continues to march farther east on Monday
02:19 and leave for a lot of dry conditions
02:21 and pleasant conditions in the south on Monday.
