Northern Mindanao begins holding of 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women;

00:10 Department of the Interior and Local Government or DILG Secretary Ben Hurabalos urged for
00:17 the continuation of the fight for the human rights of women and young girls and curtailing
00:22 any forms of gender-based violence.
00:25 The DILG chief made such assertion as the government continues an 18-day campaign to
00:31 end violence against women and children being spearheaded by the Philippine Commission on
00:35 Women.
00:37 Meanwhile in Northern Mindanao, the Regional Interagency Committee on Anti-Trafficking
00:43 and Violence Against Women and Their Children along with concerned agencies led the kick-off
00:49 of an 18-day campaign to end violence against women.
00:53 A three-day orientation on laws pertaining to anti-online sexual abuse and anti-child
00:58 sexual abuse or exploitation materials will also be held in conjunction with the said
01:05 campaign.
01:06 In Davao region, the first ever Rice Couture competition was held with models showcasing
01:12 the fashion clothes made by several designers.
01:16 Lucin Camarines, the Chief Information Officer of the Department of Agriculture, Agricultural
01:21 Training Institute, 11 says the event is part of their activities for the National Rice
01:28 Month celebration this November.
01:32 In Bukidnon, the Protected Area Management Board in collaboration with DENR and several
01:39 municipalities held the 27th Adlaw Takitanglad Festival.
01:44 The said festival is held every year to celebrate the park's efforts to preserve the culture
01:49 of indigenous people.
