00:00 seats which went to polls Congress on an average 46 to 55 is what the pollsters
00:06 are giving BJP 33 to 42 and others managing 1 to 5 so again here Congress
00:13 Bhupesh Bagel I mean appears to have done his job pretty well there.
00:18 BJP generally as a political party which we know after 2014 is a juggernaut they fight
00:22 even the municipal elections with extreme precision with extreme full
00:26 arms and ammunition but this time in Chhattisgarh for sure they were a
00:30 confused lot the karakatas didn't know what to do the pejpramukhs were not as
00:35 prepared they generally are prepared what what we can see in Madhya Pradesh
00:39 or Rajasthan even for that matter but for Chhattisgarh I don't know some kind of X
00:44 factor or some kind of what BJP as a juggernaut is known for is not there and
00:48 they did completely dependent for Chhattisgarh on the Prime Minister's
00:53 face while they completely evaded the local leadership and this is what is
00:58 going against BJP and is going to have an advantage over Bhupesh Bagel's face
01:04 even the Mahadev scam which is not which is a scam or not a scam and Bhupesh
01:08 Bagel is involved or not involved which is not proved have felt miserably on on
01:13 BJP so all these things clubbed together have helped Bhupesh Bagel and he comes
01:18 out as a greatest winner in Chhattisgarh election right now when you don't have a
01:22 challenger party in the in the fray for a very long time I think BJP gave it
01:29 away very too soon very at the very fag end they realized that we have to do something in Chhattisgarh
01:34 then they got you know the leaders came in then the Mahadev app then we
01:41 started talking of the corruption etc but in in my opinion till that time
01:45 Bhupesh Bagel has already gained grounds if you see after Raman Singh you know
01:51 that after defeat he was absolutely nowhere to be seen I don't remember one
01:56 press conference by Raman Singh at all you know except the last fag end where
02:01 he started appearing on different platforms so I think first is that there
02:05 was an absence of the opposition and secondly perhaps perhaps he's been able
02:12 to get the confidence of the farmers because the people also if you
02:18 ask them they also feel that he's done a lot of things for farmers so probably
02:22 that has the and we always know that if you compare urban and rural voter
02:29 the turnout in rural voter is always higher and also the geography is much wider if you
02:37 compare to the urban land so that could have worked for him in my opinion
02:42 but but but then if you say right right I mean I know they have they've been
02:48 late but I wish that they could they would have done a better job by playing
02:54 early because last time right right 15 right and yes it was only 15 but now now
03:00 everybody is saying that they have gained momentum and in some some places
03:06 it's it's like they have even they're going to even win seats where there was
03:11 none so for example in north Chhattisgarh it was a T S Singh Dev's you know forte
03:18 since T S Singh Dev was sidelined and he was not so much into the the entire
03:24 arena probably BJP gained ground there and all these Mahadev apps corruption I
03:30 can tell you something very with lot of confidence that like I said last time
03:35 that I have people in Chhattisgarh there is a undercurrent of corruption in the
03:40 government but I wish the the opposition which is BJP in this case would have
03:47 utilized this could have played it much better and on a larger scale and much
03:53 earlier. Chhattisgarh was a really tough battle and they needed someone to be
03:57 projected so they did not project anyone and they conducted a fairly I would say
04:04 mild campaign by other state standards so I think that perhaps at the end would
04:10 come back to bite them other than that I think Congress with its welfare schemes
04:15 and leadership phase has done well to fend off large proportion of anti
04:21 incumbency although they are losing some seats
