00:03 - A top 12 tilt in Lexington between Kentucky,
00:06 number 12 in the recent AP poll
00:08 that came out on Monday afternoon,
00:10 and number eight Miami.
00:11 Of course, the Hurricanes in elite 18
00:14 each of the past two years,
00:15 not just the elite eight last year
00:17 for coach L and the Canes,
00:19 they made it to the final four.
00:21 Number eight in the land versus number 12
00:24 in all of the sport.
00:25 And yesterday DRS Kentucky looked apart 95-73
00:30 pulling away in the second half.
00:33 And off the bench, Reed Shepard
00:35 for coach Cal and the Cats,
00:37 a team high 21 points.
00:39 The bench was the difference last night for Kentucky,
00:42 a 22 point win Kentucky easily covers
00:46 as a five and a half point home favorite.
00:49 - Yeah, 53 points in the second half
00:50 for the Kentucky Wildcats at home.
00:52 That's certainly sensational.
00:53 And usually from a Kentucky Wildcats perspective,
00:55 it's usually a lot of young guys
00:57 where you try to say, okay,
00:58 let's figure out what we're doing here
01:00 in November and December.
01:01 By the time we get the conference play,
01:02 we're feeling better.
01:03 By the time we get to March Madness,
01:05 we got a couple NBA players ready to let loose
01:07 on the country and see if we can win a championship.
01:09 Looks like we're getting started
01:10 a little bit sooner than later.
01:11 That's a really big victory
01:12 against a top 10 Miami Hurricanes team
01:14 that's also a veteran laden team.
01:16 And I also didn't see,
01:17 I see DJ Wagner only 10 minutes played
01:19 and five points scored, no personal fouls.
01:22 I'm not sure if they got injured
01:23 or not in that game,
01:24 but there were a couple of guys,
01:25 you said Shepard and Dillingham,
01:26 30 minutes and 22 minutes off of the bench.
01:28 I believe we talked yesterday with John Rothstein saying,
01:30 the problem might be that they're not as deep
01:32 on either one of these teams here,
01:33 but if you're gonna get start play,
01:35 like 14, nine, 11, five, 18, 21, and 12,
01:38 that sounds like a lot of balance scoring to me
01:40 for the Kentucky Wildcats,
01:41 almost hitting the hundred mark against the Hurricanes
01:43 who really make their bones a lot, Ben,
01:45 by playing really good defense.
01:46 That's a great night for the Wildcats.
