We ask Leeds shoppers how much they spend on their Christmas shopping, and whether it has gone up in recent years.

00:12 I would say that's probably, we've tried to keep it the same

00:18 So my wife is obviously more generous than yours.

00:21 We've got two kids and we probably spend about £300 on each of them.

00:26 Each? Wow.

00:26 Each of them.

00:27 I'm being Scrooge.

00:28 Yes it would be less if it was up to me but no it's very much up to my missus.

00:34 I have no idea. Maybe about £40. I'm not a big spender.

00:40 Yeah and has that gone up over the years or has it fallen out?

00:43 Yeah it's gone up yeah.

00:44 So how much do you spend on your Christmas shopping each year?

00:48 £500 plus probably.

00:53 And has that £500 gone up or down over the years?

00:56 Oh, probably every year I'd imagine.
