At 23:45 hours (11:45 PM) on September 2nd, 2023, three Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office deputies stopped a motorist under the guise of "no license plate." As with 98% of these stops, the vehicle had a valid temporary tag that was likely clearly visible.

The driver of the vehicle was a young man that deputies harass quite often, stopping him for very petty reasons. Apparently he's not happy about it, as you can clearly hear him in the background at the 1:05 mark saying "I don't understand why I'm gettin' harassed." (I amplified that part very slightly). They wound up letting him go, because a neighboring parish didn't want him picked up on a warrant they had out on him.

This kind of police harassment is very common in Caldwell Parish.
